Buyer Area Ltd is certified to ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 for how we buy, test, repair, refurbish, wipe, grade and sell used IT equipment at our High Wycombe workshop.
ISO certification is an independent check of how a business is run. An external certification body audited our management systems against three international standards. The certificates cover the way we work: they certify our management systems, not individual products. The condition of each device is set out by its grade, and every device comes with our 12-month warranty.
Our testing, grading and quality checks are documented procedures. We follow the same written steps for every device and record the results, and the system is audited externally. Grades A, B and C are given against written criteria, explained on our grades page.
We run an environmental management system. Reuse comes first: refurbishing a laptop or desktop gives it a longer working life. Equipment and parts that cannot be reused go for responsible WEEE (waste electrical and electronic equipment) recycling.
We manage occupational health and safety in our workshop, so the people who test, repair and pack your device follow safe workshop practices.
