Grade A: This is our best cosmetic grade — the screen is scratch-free, and any marks on the lid or casing are light micro-scratches you would not notice at arm's length. The keyboard and trackpad show no visible wear.
Grade B: The screen is scratch-free. The lid or base has light scratches or scuffs — visible if you look closely, not something that jumps out. You might notice a little shine on the keys from everyday use.
Grade C: There are a few faint scratches on the screen, only visible when it's switched on. The casing shows visible scratches, scuffs or small dents, and there's noticeable wear on the keyboard and trackpad — this one has clearly been used, but works like new.
This is an Apple MacBook Pro 16-inch from 2019, powered by an Intel Core i7-9750H processor with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of solid-state storage. That combination handles photo editing, video work, and multitasking across many applications without slowing down. It suits creative professionals, developers, and anyone who needs reliable performance for demanding work away from a desk. The 16-inch screen gives you plenty of space to see your work in detail, which matters when you're editing or working on detailed projects for extended periods.

About this macbook pro
The Apple MacBook Pro 16" from 2019 is a refurbished professional laptop built for creative work, software development and productivity. Its 16-inch Retina display delivers sharp, colour-accurate visuals, while the Intel Core i7-9750H processor provides six cores for multitasking and demanding applications. Available in Silver and Space Grey with either 8GB or 16GB of RAM, every unit has been professionally refurbished, tested and graded to ensure reliable performance. Buyer Area has stocked refurbished MacBooks since 2011, and each one ships with a 12-month warranty and 30-day returns.
The 2019 model introduced the larger 16-inch screen and replaced the butterfly keyboard with a redesigned scissor-switch mechanism, offering a more comfortable typing experience for long sessions. The Intel Core i7-9750H is a six-core processor from the 9th generation, capable of handling video editing, code compilation and virtual machines without slowdown. Configurations with 16GB of RAM suit users running multiple Adobe Creative Cloud applications or browser tabs simultaneously, while 8GB models handle everyday office work and web development comfortably. The 512GB SSD provides fast boot times and application launches, with ample room for project files and software libraries. UK English keyboard layout comes as standard across all units.
Display and connectivity for creative professionals
The 16-inch Retina display offers a resolution high enough for photo retouching and timeline editing without excessive zooming. Its colour accuracy supports design work straight out of the box. Four Thunderbolt 3 ports allow you to connect external monitors, storage arrays and peripherals simultaneously, making this MacBook Pro a practical choice for desk-based creative workflows as much as portable sessions. The 3.5mm headphone jack remains present for studio monitoring or video calls.
Configurations currently in stock
Buyer Area currently stocks this refurbished Apple MacBook Pro 16" 2019 with the Intel Core i7-9750H processor and 512GB SSD storage across multiple grades and colours. You can choose between 8GB RAM in Grade A (Silver) or 16GB RAM in Grade C (Silver) and Grade B (Space Grey). Grade A, Grade B and Grade C units have each been fully tested and are fully functional. Every configuration has been tested and ships ready to use.
Who this refurbished MacBook Pro suits
Software developers benefit from the six-core processor when compiling code or running Docker containers locally. Video editors working in Final Cut Pro or Adobe Premiere will find the 16GB configurations handle 1080p timelines smoothly, though 4K projects may require external GPUs for colour grading. Graphic designers and photographers appreciate the screen's colour fidelity and the ability to connect multiple high-resolution displays via Thunderbolt 3. Students in creative or technical courses get a professional-grade machine without the cost of buying new. Office professionals who need a reliable workhorse for documents, spreadsheets and web conferencing will find even the 8GB models more than sufficient.
Is this refurbished MacBook Pro 16 2019 good for video editing?
Yes, the Intel Core i7-9750H six-core processor and 512GB SSD make this MacBook Pro suitable for video editing in Final Cut Pro or Adobe Premiere. Configurations with 16GB RAM handle 1080p timelines comfortably, though heavier 4K colour grading may benefit from an external GPU. The 16-inch Retina display provides accurate colour representation for editing work, and the four Thunderbolt 3 ports allow you to connect external storage and monitors simultaneously.
Which configuration should I choose: 8GB or 16GB RAM?
Choose 16GB RAM if you regularly run multiple creative applications at once, work with virtual machines, or keep dozens of browser tabs open while editing documents. The 8GB configurations handle everyday office work, web development and lighter creative tasks without issue. Both options use the same Intel Core i7-9750H processor and 512GB SSD, so the RAM is the main performance variable between them.
What comes in the box with this refurbished Apple MacBook Pro?
Each refurbished MacBook Pro 16" 2019 ships with the laptop itself and a compatible charger. No additional accessories, cables or printed manuals are included. Every unit has been tested and graded, then cleaned and prepared for immediate use.
What is the difference between Grade A, B and C?
Grade A is excellent, with very light signs of use. Grade B is good, with light signs of use such as fine scratches. Grade C is fair, with clear signs of use. Every grade is fully tested and working.
What warranty and returns policy do you offer?
Every unit comes with a 12-month warranty covering faults. It excludes accidental damage and normal wear and tear.
Does this MacBook Pro work with external monitors?
Yes, the four Thunderbolt 3 ports support external displays at high resolutions, and you can connect multiple monitors simultaneously. Thunderbolt 3 also handles data transfer, charging and peripheral connections through the same port, making this MacBook Pro adaptable for desk-based setups as well as portable use.
