Grade A: This is our best cosmetic grade — the screen is scratch-free, and any marks on the lid or casing are light micro-scratches you would not notice at arm's length. The keyboard and trackpad show no visible wear.
Grade B: The screen is scratch-free. The lid or base has light scratches or scuffs — visible if you look closely, not something that jumps out. You might notice a little shine on the keys from everyday use.

About this laptop
The Microsoft Surface Laptop 3 13.5-inch from 2019 delivers a premium ultraportable experience for professionals, students and everyday users who need reliable performance in a sleek design. Powered by 10th-generation Intel Core processors—either the i5-1035G7 or the faster i7-1065G7—and paired with 8GB or 16GB of RAM, this refurbished laptop handles office productivity, web browsing, video calls and light creative work with ease. Available in Platinum or Matte Black finishes and backed by a 12-month warranty, it offers a tested and graded alternative to buying new.
At the heart of the Surface Laptop 3 13.5-inch sits the Intel Iris Plus Graphics engine, which works alongside the Core processor to render sharp visuals on the 13.5-inch PixelSense display. Storage ranges from a 128GB SSD in the entry configuration to 256GB in higher-spec models, ensuring fast boot times and application launches. Windows 11 Pro comes pre-installed, giving you enterprise-level security and management features straight out of the box, while the UK English keyboard layout suits British touch typists. Every unit has been professionally refurbished, tested and graded to ensure it meets our quality standards before dispatch.
Performance for everyday tasks
The 10th-generation Intel Core i5-1035G7 delivers quad-core performance with a base clock speed that handles multitasking across browser tabs, Microsoft Office applications and video conferencing simultaneously. Step up to the i7-1065G7 and you gain extra processing headroom for photo editing, larger spreadsheets and more demanding software. Both chips integrate Intel Iris Plus Graphics, which accelerates media playback and light design work without the need for a discrete GPU. Paired with either 8GB or 16GB of system memory, the Surface Laptop 3 13.5-inch keeps background apps responsive while you work in the foreground.
Display and connectivity
The 13.5-inch PixelSense display offers a 3:2 aspect ratio that shows more vertical content than traditional 16:9 widescreen panels—ideal for reading documents, coding or browsing long web pages. Intel Iris Plus Graphics powers smooth video playback and casual creative tasks. Connectivity details vary by unit; consult the specifications table for the exact port configuration on your chosen model. Windows 11 Pro brings native support for modern Wi-Fi standards and Bluetooth, so you can connect wireless peripherals and join video meetings without additional drivers.
Configurations in stock

The entry-level models combine the Intel Core i5-1035G7 processor with 8GB of RAM and a 128GB SSD, available in Platinum and graded B for cosmetic condition. For users who need more memory and storage, the i7-1065G7 variant steps up to 16GB of RAM and a 256GB SSD, finished in Matte Black and graded A. Every configuration ships with Windows 11 Pro and a UK English keyboard, so you can start work immediately after unboxing.
Who it suits
This refurbished laptop fits professionals who travel between home and office, students attending lectures or working in the library, and families who want a shared machine for emails, online shopping and streaming. The ultraportable form factor slips into most bags, while the 13.5-inch screen remains large enough for comfortable all-day use. Windows 11 Pro appeals to business users who rely on domain join, BitLocker encryption and remote-desktop features, but home users will appreciate the cleaner interface and improved security over older Windows versions. Whether you choose the i5 with 8GB or the i7 with 16GB depends on how many applications you run at once; both configurations handle general productivity without slowdown.
Is the refurbished Microsoft Surface Laptop 3 13.5 inch good for students?
Yes, the Surface Laptop 3 13.5-inch suits students well. The 13.5-inch PixelSense display with its 3:2 aspect ratio shows more vertical content than traditional widescreen laptops, making it easier to read lecture notes, research papers and long web pages. The Intel Core i5 or i7 processor handles essay writing in Microsoft Word, web research across multiple tabs, video calls on Teams or Zoom, and light photo editing for coursework. At just 13.5 inches, it fits into most student backpacks and library study spaces. Windows 11 Pro provides full compatibility with university software, and the UK English keyboard layout matches British typing habits.
Which configuration should I choose—i5 with 8GB or i7 with 16GB?
Choose the Intel Core i5-1035G7 with 8GB of RAM and a 128GB SSD if you primarily use web browsers, email, Microsoft Office and video conferencing. This configuration handles everyday productivity tasks without slowdown and represents the most accessible entry point. Opt for the Intel Core i7-1065G7 with 16GB of RAM and a 256GB SSD if you regularly run several demanding applications at once—such as Adobe Photoshop alongside a large Excel spreadsheet and multiple browser windows—or if you store more files locally. The extra memory prevents slowdowns during heavy multitasking, and the larger SSD accommodates more software and documents.
