Inside, the Intel Core i5-6300U processor pairs with 8GB of RAM to handle Microsoft Office, web browsing, email and cloud applications without slowdown. The 256GB solid-state drive means fast boot times and snappy file access, whether you're opening spreadsheets or joining Teams meetings. The 14-inch screen strikes a balance between workspace and portability, making the EliteBook 840 G3 a practical choice for commuters, home workers and small businesses looking for dependable hardware. HP designed the EliteBook line for long service life, and refurbished models extend that value further—you get business-grade build quality without the new-device premium.
Performance for everyday business tasks
The Intel Core i5-6300U is a dual-core processor from Intel's sixth generation, designed for efficient multitasking in business applications. Paired with 8GB of RAM, it runs Windows productivity software smoothly, from Word and Excel to Outlook and browser tabs. The 256GB SSD delivers faster load times than traditional hard drives, so you spend less time waiting and more time working. This configuration suits office environments, remote work, finance, administration and light creative tasks—anywhere reliability matters more than cutting-edge performance.
Built for the professional environment
HP's EliteBook 840 series is engineered with business users in mind: a compact 14-inch form factor for travel, a robust chassis that withstands daily use, and a professional aesthetic that fits any workplace. The G3 generation continues that tradition with a design focused on longevity and serviceability. Refurbished models give you access to this enterprise-grade hardware at a lower cost, making it easier for small businesses, schools and home offices to equip teams with reliable machines.
